The Brentwood volleyball team is ranked 16th nationally in the USA TODAY preseason Super 25.
The Lady Bruins, who have won a state-record 11 state volleyball titles, won their third straight Class AAA championship a season ago, capping their 52-3 campaign with a second consecutive title match win over Farragut.
Junior outside hitter Garrett Joiner, a 2015 All-Midstate first-team selection and Virginia commitment, returns to lead the Lady Bruins this fall after amassing 498 kills, 228 digs, 107 aces and 86 blocks in 2015.

Sophomore teammate Logan Eggleston, who has been chosen to compete for the U.S. Girls Youth National Team in Puerto Rico from Aug. 31-Sept. 8, is another player to watch for Brentwood, which welcomes back all but two members of last season’s squad.
The Lady Bruins, who have compiled a 172-8 record in the previous three seasons, are coached by 28-year veteran Barbara Campbell, who ranks second nationally among active high school volleyball coaches with 1,538 wins.
